The Driver Risk Assessment System has a transparent and straightforward charging structure of £4 per driver per year. This includes the provision of unlimited driver assessments, personalised post-assessment feedback videos and topic-specific training videos, for example for use as part of general driver training campaigns or following accidents.

The use of an existing in-house risk management portal, RMworks, allows us to keep the costs of the system lower than the majority of other providers.

Based upon driver risk assessment responses the system evaluates the most suitable training topics for each driver and delivers this via a personalised training video.

The Driver Risk Assessment system complies with both Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO27001 to ensure all data is kept secure using Amazon Web Services.

Extensive research has been conducted on the benefits of risk assessing and training of drivers. This clearly demonstrates the significant advantages of doing so, not least accident reduction, cost savings and health and safety legal compliance.

Ideally, drivers should be risk assessed before being permitted to drive on company business and/or following significant or repeat incidents. Once drivers are risk assessed, it is commonplace for a programme of reassessment to be undertaken, typically this would be every 2-3 years.

Providing drivers with regular training reinforces best practice. Drivers should be provided with training:

  • Based upon their assessment results.
  • Following significant and/or repeat incidents.
  • As part of driver safety campaigns, such as those highlighted by incident analysis.
  • Periodically as part of a refresher training programme.

Drivers assessed as ‘higher risk’ should not be ignored. Fleet Managers should verify and investigate the assessment findings to determine the most appropriate action. This could include:

  • Further training
  • Driver coaching
  • Driver safety workshops

The Driver Risk Assessment consists of 40 multiple-choice questions each with a one-minute time limit. Typically, assessments take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete.

Post assessment training videos vary depending upon the assessment findings. Typically, the post assessment training video is between 5-10 minutes long.

The running time of additional training videos is shown with the system.

The Driver Risk Assessment system is delivered online via RMworks. Access to RMworks requires a compatible device with a broadband internet connection and a supported internet browser, preferably Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Apple Safari. Compatible devices include Microsoft Windows, Android and iOS mobile devices.

Fleet Managers can monitor the performance of all drivers via dashboard metrics, spreadsheet reports and analytical tools.

Yes, spreadsheets of assessments can be exported to an Excel compatible file.

The system is specifically designed for UK drivers.

A ‘Help’ section is available within the system along with video tutorials on how to use each function.
